Promises do not get lost
Tell a client I will come back to this, and Hermes will not let it slip.
A broken promise costs more than poor work: it undermines trust. For a busy consultant promises drown in threads, and the client notices before you do.
As you talk, tell the assistant what you promised, to whom and by when. She keeps the list of open commitments and reminds you early, not once the deadline has passed.
